Hedgerow Prints

Summer 2020

Lockdown was a time for staying home and taking walks, usually alone. Every day during this period I collected samples of plants from the garden and hedgerows to create a series of lino cut prints. The series spanned about 8 months, from the earliest primroses of spring to the thistles of mid summer. It became a chronology of the Somerset hedgerow and was subsequently shown in the Museum of Rural Life in Glastonbury. Tucked away in a box in my studio is the full collection of sketrches, prints and lino cuts. A selection of these prints are for sale.
