Ethereal Woodlands

Inspired by the untouched woodlands found on the Blackdowns Artist Retreat, https://blackdownsart.com/ I enjoyed creating this series of works. Some have been sold now but a few remain in my studio reminding of the ethereal and mysterious nature of those ancient woodlands where hedgerows have become overgrown and fallen trees decompose on the forest floor. Light filters through the complex network of branches, illuminating patches of foliage. It is a magical place.
