Down your way 2023-2025
This project started as a way to help identify and promote the existing and lost footpaths in my home parish of Stawley in Somerset. I plan to make nine paintings based on each of the Ordnance Survey grid squares of the parish with the aim of showing them in 2025 at the 10 Parishes Festival. So far 4 have been completed and I have enjoyed using ordnance survey maps, satellite imagery and sketches while walking to bring them alive. They have been completed using multiple layers of acrylic paint as well as oil crayon and print.
